Chris Salles is the Director at Guitar Center University.   Most recently, he served as Director of eLearning at Guitar Center.   Previously, Chris had served in various other roles at Guitar Center since joining the company in August 2001.   Chris is an HR technology transformation leader and an experienced retail business professional whose 13+ year career with a $2+ billion retailer has been distinguished by accelerated advancement, recent awards such as winning a 2015 Intelligent Talent Management Customer`s Choice Award (Saba), 2014 Excellence in Talent Management (Saba), 2013 President`s Award (Guitar Center), 2013 Overall Business Leadership Award (Ventana Research), 2012 Future of Work Award (Constellation Research), and goal-surpassing performance-to-plan.   He has been successful in both start-up and turnaround management roles -- having propelled multiple business units to success in performance and customer satisfaction company-wide. He has a comprehensive background leading all aspects of retail operations (e.g., training, P&L, merchandising, sales, customer service, inventory, personnel and payroll management) reinforced by extensive retail management training and financial data analysis.   Utilizing emerging technologies, Chris designs and implements learning and performance strategies that aggregate informal and formal content into one accessible, virtual environment.
