Aurora`s mission is to prevent end homelessness in the community. Aurora believes that the community will be stronger when every man, woman and child have a safe, decent and sustainable place to call home. The meaning of the word, aurora, is a luminous light. In fact, each day the staff gives light to homeless individuals and families by re-establishing stability through providing access to resources, such as shelter, nourishment, healthcare and much more. Aurora serves over 1,000 men, women and children each year through programs and services. Moreover, Aurora is a leading catalyst in identifying gaps, establishing innovative and permanent solutions, and drawing together interested parties to ensure that homelessness becomes a problem of the past.

Goodwill Industries of Southeastern Wisconsin is the largest of more than 165 Goodwill organizations in the world and has been providing services since 1919. Some 6,100 Goodwill employees work in nearly 100 locations throughout our 23-county territory in southeastern Wisconsin and metropolitan Chicago. Our service territory consists of thirteen full or partial counties in southeastern Wisconsin, and ten full or partial counties in northeastern Illinois. Goodwill’s territory covers more than 12,000 square miles of land area, ranging from Green Lake, Fond du Lac, and Sheboygan counties on the north, to Danville, Illinois, on the south, and west to Janesville, Wisconsin. This territory encompasses some of the most populated areas of both states, including Cook, Du Page, Will and Lake counties in Illinois, and Milwaukee County in Wisconsin. Our mission is to provide training, employment and supportive services for people with disabilities or disadvantages who seek greater independence.
