Founded in 1853, Central College of Pella, Iowa, is a private, residential four-year liberal arts college known for its academic rigor and strength in global experiential learning, STEM (science, technology, engineering and math), sustainability education, athletics success and tradition, and leadership and service. For over 50 years, Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC) has dedicated its services to education, patient care and research for West Texas and beyond. Portland Community College is the largest post-secondary institution in Oregon and 19th largest in the nation, serving approximately 80,000 full- and part-time students. Founded on October 3, 1887, as the State Normal College for Colored Students, what is now Florida A&M was started with 15 students and two instructors.
