About the Person
Cathy Barker joined Toronto Community Housing on March 16, 2015 as the Vice President, Human Resources. Cathy is a senior human resource professional with significant experience in human resources management, including labour relations, compensation and benefits, organizational design, employee relations, recruitment, and health and safety. Prior to joining Toronto Community Housing, Cathy spent seven years as Executive Director, Human Resources for the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG). In this role, Cathy was responsible for OLG`s strategic human resource initiatives related to labour relations, compensation, human resource systems, and health, safety and disability management. Cathy has also held senior human resource management positions in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors. Cathy has a master`s degree in human resource management from York University and a bachelor of commerce (human resource management) from Ryerson University. She is a part-time professor in the School of Business at George Brown College and a licensed paralegal.
