Catherine Templeton served as Senior Vice President of Legal, External Affairs and Human Resources at South Carolina Ports Authority. A former labor lawyer, Templeton joined the SPA in mid-September 2015. She remains as president of the government relations firm Brawley Templeton LLC. She formed that company about two weeks after stepping down in January as director of DHEC. She held that job for about three years. She is the former chief of S.C. Department of Health and Environmental Control. Previously, she worked for a year in Gov. Nikki Haley`s Cabinet as director of the state Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation. And before that, she practiced employment law.
