About the Person
Catherine Mergen, PhD, SPHR has spent her career of more than 20 years delivering practical solutions to complicated people issues. She is currently leading the People Insights team at AbbVie, a global bio-pharma company, as well as serving as talent manager to AbbVie`s corporate functions. Her team brings a scientific approach to building talent strategy, ensuring insights from talent metrics and survey data answer current and future business needs. Prior to her work at AbbVie, she led the HR Strategy team at Abbott, and served as an HR leader in Abn-Amro`s LaSalle Bank division through the transition to Bank of America. Catherine`s career began in organizational development consulting at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where she led a wide variety of Fortune 100 client projects, from strategic thinking executive workshops to design of recruiting, career and performance management solutions.
