About the Person

Catherine Hasenpflug, also known as Cathy, is the Chief Human Resources Officer at Montana State University, Feb. 1, 2016.   As the Chief Human Resources Officer, Hasenpflug will oversee management of the institution`s human resources operation, including recruitment, compensation, health benefits and union negotiations, as well as set the strategic direction for HR services.    In addition to serving the MSU campus in Bozeman, Hasenpflug will collaborate with MSU Billings, Great Falls College MSU and MSU Northern – as well as the Office of the Commissioner of Higher Education – to develop, implement and communicate HR-related policies, programs and processes and to ensure compliance with relevant statutes and regulations.   Hasenpflug joined MSU in May 2013 and most recently served as the associate chief human resources officer. Previously, she has held international human resources senior management positions within the high technology and investment management industries.
