About the Person
Catherine W. Frierson, also known as Cathy, is the Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Western Connecticut Health Network. Ms. Frierson will be responsible for the overall development, design and administration of the Network`s leading-edge human resource programming in support of the organizational goals and strategic initiatives. Her work will ensure the availability of a highly skilled, highly effective workforce which provides unparalleled patient care and service in an environment where we know you well. Ms. Frierson joins Western Connecticut Health Network from GE, where she was a Senior Human Resources Manager for GE Capital Americas. At GE, she worked across multiple industries, successfully executing large scale business transformations and process improvements, delivering improved employee engagement and talent retention. Ms. Frierson began her career at GE in the Human Resources Leadership program in 1984 followed by a series of HR management positions of increased scope and responsibility, including roles at GE`s prestigious Management Development Institute. Frierson received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and a Master of Social Work degree from Boston College and a Master of Business Administration degree from Columbia University in New York.
