Carl Waldekranz is the Co-Founder and CEO at Tictail Carl Waldekranz, 29, grew up in Stockholm and started his first company at 18. After high school Carl Waldekranz and a friend, Kaj Drobin, started a boutique design agency niched at helping technology gap the chasm between early adopters and mainstream. The young team soon acquired clients such as Spotify and Nokia and 3 years after incubation the agency was acquired by, at the time, Sweden`s biggest brand development agency Identity Works. There Carl established and built the digital offering and team over the next 2 years, while working more and more with fashion brands, such as Rodebjer, and their e-commerce offering. At this agency Carl and Kaj had their first encounter with online retail, and although they thought the e-commerce sites where beautiful, the backend tools were often expensive and difficult to use. Together with Kaj Drobin he identified the opportunity to take their learnings from the consumer technology space and apply them to online retail. They created a tool that let`s anyone setup a beautiful online store in a matter of minutes that then provides automatic timely advice on how to increase sales. Carl has always had an interest in fashion, design and art and the goal with Tictail has always been to empower the future big retailers and brands to build their businesses.
