Candace McDonald is Promoted to Vice President - Human Resources Business Partner at SunTrust Banks. McDonald is Group Vice President and Talent Management Consultant for Leadership Development for SunTrust Banks, Inc. In this role, she is responsible for leading the strategies and programs to develop stronger talent pools for succession planning for critical and strategic roles at SunTrust. Ms. McDonald has held several leadership roles in Human Resources since joining SunTrust in 1997 including serving as the Learning Delivery Manager leading an organization comprised of 85 leaders and teammates responsible for the management and execution of classroom and virtual training delivery across the footprint. Before joining SunTrust, Ms. McDonald was a Vice President and Performance Management Consultant in Human Resources for First Union National Bank, now part of Wells Fargo. Ms. McDonald holds a Business degree from Clayton State University. She is certified in a range of leadership and talent development tools including: Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, Hogan, and Development Dimensions International’s Leadership Mirror. She is a recipient of SunTrust’s 2015 Platinum Performance Excellence Award. As an active member of her community, she enjoys volunteering with multiple service organizations including Junior Achievement, Operation HOPE, and the Henry County Food Pantry. She is a native of Atlanta where she resides with her husband and three boys.
