The Oklahoma Attorney General serves as the chief law officer of the state of Oklahoma. For state government, the attorney general serves as legal counsel to boards, commissions and agencies and issues legal opinions when requested by authorized petitioners. The State Personnel Office is responsible for the administration and oversight of the classified service personnel system which consists of approximately 18,000 state employees from approximately 68 executive state agencies, boards and commissions. A comprehensive system of human resource management is achieved through the integration of five functional areas which are administered by the State Personnel Director with oversight by a five-member State Personnel Board. The new website is a leap forward in the IDOE`s efforts to advance transparency at the Department.
