The primary mission of the Coast Community College District (CCCD) is to provide quality lower-division and occupational education to ensure that students from all ages and from all socio-economic backgrounds have the opportunity to achieve their postsecondary educational goals. Inherent in this mission is the provision of transitional instruction and those support services that promote student success. In addition, the District will offer non-credit courses and other community service programs that will meet cultural, recreational, professional in-service, and personal development needs.

Curry also offers graduate degree programs in Business Administration, Education, Criminal Justice and an M.S. in Nursing. Approximately 2,000 Curry undergraduates come to study in our friendly atmosphere. Close to 450 graduate students and 1,650 continuing education students also choose Curry as their academic home. The South Dakota Board of Regents is a governing board that controls six public universities in the U.S. state of South Dakota. These include Black Hills State University, Dakota State University, Northern State University, South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, South Dakota State University, and the University of South Dakota.
