Louisiana State Civil Service is the central personnel agency for the state of Louisiana. Our goal is to help state agencies manage their human resources so that they may provide the most effective service to the citizens of Louisiana. Byron P. Decoteau Jr. is the Interim Director of Human Resources at Louisiana State Civil Service. Decoteau has more than 15 years of human resources experience. Prior to that, he served as State Civil Service Deputy Director at Louisiana State Civil Service. Previously, he has also served as Chief of Compensation and as Chief of Information Services at Louisiana State Civil Service. Prior to that, he served as Human Resources Director at Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections - Corrections Services.
