Ouachita was established in 1886, and it is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Ouachita offers undergraduate programs of study in the liberal arts. Small classes are the norm rather than the exception and Ouachita`s student to faculty ratio is approximately 13:1. For nearly seven decades, El Camino College has been proud to serve our community`s educational and cultural needs through outstanding course offerings, diverse entertainment venues, and exceptional athletic and fitness opportunities. Located in the heart of the South Bay, the El Camino Community College District encompasses seven unified and high school districts, 12 elementary school districts and nine cities with a combined population of 533,000 residents. Marked by more than a century of tradition since its founding by Booker T. Washington in 1881, Tuskegee University is known not only for being among the nation`s premier historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs), but for its openness to all. An independent and state-related institution of higher education, TU is Alabama`s only private land-grant university. Its programs serve a student body numbering more than 3,000 students that is coeducational as well as racially, ethnically and religiously diverse. With a strong orientation toward disciplines that highlight the relationship between education and workforce preparation in the sciences, professions and technical areas, Tuskegee University also emphasizes the importance of the liberal arts as a foundation for successful careers in all areas. Academic instruction occurs in five colleges and three schools: the Andrew F.
