Brian D. Smith is the Vice President of Human Resources at Lexington Medical Center. As Vice President of Human Resources at Lexington Medical Center, Smith is tasked with directing matters related to employment, employee benefits and compensation, staff development, employee health initiatives and coordination of volunteer efforts. Smith holds an undergraduate degree as well as a master`s degree in health care administration with a concentration in finance from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Smith comes to LMC with more than two decades of health care experience. He most recently worked for Raleigh, North Carolina-based Rex Healthcare Inc., where during his tenure he held several positions including system executive director, director of human resources, director of laboratory services and nursing home administrator. Smith`s resume also includes time as an adjunct faculty member at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he trained nursing home administrators.
