Seaspan is an association of Canadian companies primarily involved in coastal marine transportation, shipdocking/ship escort, ship repair and shipbuilding services in Western North America. In addition to the marine transportation services offered directly through Seaspan, commercial ferry, shipyard and bunkering services are provided via affiliate companies: Marine Petrobulk, Seaspan Ferries, Vancouver Drydock, Vancouver Shipyards and Victoria Shipyards. About the Person
\r\n Brent joined Seaspan as Vice President, Human Resources in June 2015, bringing with him over 20 years of diverse experience in leadership, management and advisory roles, as well as a proven ability to build high performing teams. He joins the company from ICBC where he served as Director, Strategic HR and Governance. In that role, he drove executive and senior leadership cultural transformation and business-minded decision making with a focus on operating cost reductions. Brent completed a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia in 1994. In 1996, he obtained a Master of Industrial Relations from Queen`s University in Kingston, Ontario, and in 2004 he graduated from an Executive Leadership Program at Simon Fraser University. As part of Seaspan`s Senior Executive team, Brent will provide leadership for strategic plans, and guide the development and implementation of Human Resources and Labour Relations initiatives and processes to help achieve Seaspan`s corporate goals.\r\n
