The District is highly regarded statewide for its academic excellence. We are consistently in the top rankings of US News and World Report, our four-year graduation rate is 98.3% and we received an “A” on gap closing on the State Report Card. Our students have the ability to participate in 25 AP courses, robust elective offerings, gifted services for qualified students grades 3-12 and a comprehensive professional development program. Extracurricular programs—from athletics to the arts—are also recognized for achievement. Our district encompasses 95 square miles, seven townships, five cities and two counties. More than 21,000 students attend our schools, making our population larger than Miami University. We employ 2,500 people and operate 26 schools; 4 high schools, 5 middle schools, and 15 elementary schools. We also support OASIS, Olentangy Academy and Olentangy Preschool. In 2018, Columbus CEO magazine named Olentangy Local School District one of the Top Places to Work.
