About the Person

Over the past 5 years, Brady Pyle served as Deputy Director of Human Resources, leading a forum of Deputy Directors to discuss and advance Center workforce strategy—especially related to one of the most significant workforce transitions faced at JSC in decades with the retirement of the Space Shuttle Program. For his efforts, he was awarded NASA’s Outstanding Leadership Medal in 2012.   Pyle joined NASA in 1995, upon his graduation from Texas A&M University with a master’s degree in HR Management. He was promoted to his first management role in 2005 and has held a variety of management roles since then, including a 9-month stint as a front-line supervisor in Engineering’s Crew & Thermal Systems Division in 2013. In 2008, Pyle graduated from NASA’s Leadership Development Program after assignments in Washington, D.C. to NASA Headquarters and the World Bank’s International Finance Corporation.   Since October 2013, Pyle blogs on leadership at OutOfThisWorldLeadership.com. In August 2014, he became a John Maxwell Team Certified Coach & Speaker.   Pyle is a native Texan—born and raised in Corpus Christi. He and his wife, Jennifer (married in 1997) have three kids: Katy (14), Cody (12), and Tanner (8). Pyle learned the importance of balancing work responsibilities with his responsibility as a husband, father, and active church member from both his grandfather and father.
