Tuscaloosa , AL-based DCH Health Systems hired Beth Francis as Vice President of Human Resources

 

About the Company

Providing Nearly 100 Years of Compassionate Health Care For over a century, the DCH Health System has had local ownership and leadership, and we continually evolve to offer advanced caring to West Alabama. Today, the DCH Health System includes DCH Regional Medical Center, Northport Medical Center, and Fayette Medical Center. DCH Regional Medical Center is the cornerstone of the DCH system. The 583-bed Regional Medical Center offers a variety of specialty units and advanced services, including cancer, cardiology, robotic and minimally invasive surgery, and the region`s advanced trauma center. Northport Medical Center is a 204-bed community hospital that offers a full range of inpatient and outpatient services. The facility also operates important specialty services, including the DCH Rehabilitation Pavilion and North Harbor Pavilion for mental health. Fayette Medical Center, through a lease agreement with the DCH Health System, is a 61-bed rural hospital that offers the residents of Fayette County inpatient care, along with sophisticated diagnostic equipment, surgical techniques and specialty clinics. A 122-bed nursing home on site is fully accredited and licensed for intermediate and skilled nursing care.

 

About the Person

Beth Francis is the Chief Human Resources Officer at Baptist Health System.   Francis will oversee the HR leads at each of the health system`s hospitals and non-hospital divisions, employee training and development and compensation and benefits.   Prior to that, she served as Vice President of Human Resources for Baptist Health System, Inc. (BHS).   Prior to assuming Vice President of Human Resources position in June 2013, Beth served as Vice President of Human Resources for DCH Health System (DCH) in Tuscaloosa starting 2010. Additionally, she has served in numerous leadership roles within the Carilion Health System and Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, Virginia.   Beth is a certified Senior Professional Human Resources (SPHR) and an American Council on Education Fitness and Spinning Instructor. She has a Master of Arts degree from Virginia Polytechnic and State University.   Beth`s various professional organizations include: Society for Human Resources Management, American Council on Exercise and American Society for Healthcare Human Resources. Her community involvement includes being a member of the Healthcare Management Strategic Advisory Board and a mentor with The Culver College of Business Administration both at the University of Alabama.   She previously served on the Boards of Saint Francis Service Dogs of the Roanoke Valley in Virginia and Junior Achievement of West Alabama. She has been a volunteer with Big Brothers/Big Sisters and the Montgomery County Humane Society.
