When we engage in projects, the teams we deploy are consistently much smaller and much more senior than those typically provided by other firms. Instead of our clients having to teach their consultants about their business, our consultants share insights with our clients about the most cost effective business strategies, implementation methodologies and management practices. This `special forces` style outcome-focused client delivery model consistently produces on time and on budget projects with no change requests. Finally, since the founding of Eventus, we have maintained a philosophy of being easy to do business with. We are very flexible in terms of contract models and pricing. While we prefer fixed price contracts, we are perfectly willing to work on a time and materials basis when that is our client`s preference. Furthermore, we make sure our senior executives create `high touch` relationships with our clients.
About the Person
Barry MacLaughlin is Vice President of Human Resources at Eventus. In this role, he is responsible for all people matters across the organization to ensure the successful growth and competitive advantage of the firm. He is an industry recognized leader with expertise in recruiting, talent management, total rewards and organizational development. He possesses a unique ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives that fuel operational efficiency. Barry’s philosophy is to focus on building long-term relationships with clients through people excellence and tying the HR strategy to the business strategy. His career spans 20 years in HR and recruiting with Fortune 500 organizations and start up growth companies. Prior to joining Eventus, Barry was the HR Business Leader for the professional services business unit at the TriZetto Group and was also responsible for global merger and acquisition, workforce planning and employment practices. Barry’s earlier experience included serving as Vice President Human Resources with a communications software and services company building cross-platform applications across PC and mobile. Barry also successfully launched an S-Chapter corporation in HR consulting after his start in executive recruiting and managing teams at Accenture and EDS. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the State University of New York and is a certified in Strategic Workforce Planning.
