About the Person

Ashley Baquie serves as Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer at MorganFranklin Consulting. She is responsible for all HR-related efforts, including providing strategic HR guidance to the company and developing effective programs in direct support of business goals and an optimum working environment for employees. She is also responsible for the firm's Administration, Corporate Social Responsibility, Facilities, and Security departments.   Ashley is a seasoned leader with more than 25 years of business experience with technology, services, government contracting, and publishing companies. She also possesses more than 17 years of experience in HR leadership roles impacting corporate performance through successful development, enhancement, and orchestration of HR processes and programs. Ashley is credited with leading strategic initiatives, providing collaborative team-building skills, coaching and developing talent, growing revenues, and slashing expenditures through skillful allocation of human resources and creative, effective programs.   In 2011, the Human Resource Leadership Awards of Greater Washington presented her with the prestigious ""Leadership Award"" (<1,000 employees), recognizing her exemplary leadership and strategic vision. Additionally, Ashley was a finalist for the ""Mentoring Award,"" recognizing her dedicated support to the professional growth and development of HR and other professionals.   Prior to joining MorganFranklin, Ashley served as human resources director at Unisys Corporation, where she led the Health Information Management division in HR policies, practices, and programs, solving the complex problems of a commercial group operating within a federal practice. She also served for eight years as vice president of human resources and administration at Software Performance Systems, Inc. before leading the due diligence team through a successful divestiture. In this role, Ashley helped transform the HR department into a client-oriented, high-performance service center and business partnership.   She also helped develop a workplace that garnered a coveted ""Best Places to Work"" award two years in a row, as well as a number of other awards. Ashley began her HR career at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) after working in global publishing and business management with Business International, Inc., a consulting arm of The Economist Group.   Ashley received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Russian and Soviet studies, with a minor in Spanish, from Tulane University in New Orleans. She serves on the board of directors for the HR Leadership Forum (HRLF) and is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and WTPF – The Business Forum for HR Professionals, among other HR organizations.
