About the Person

As Vice-President of Human Resources and Practice Leader, Armando has more than twenty years of experience in human resource management and organizational development. He is an award-winning bilingual strategist whose broad expertise includes improving organizational effectiveness, mergers and acquisitions, training, talent management, succession planning and implementing effective human resource programs resulting in improved delivery of service, cost savings and retention.    Prior to joining Clark & Lavey, Armando was a Principal Consultant with HRe-sources LLC of Holliston Massachusetts, guiding clients across New England toward effective strategically-driven results. He previously held the position of Director of Human Resources at Thermo Fisher Scientific where he had oversight of human resources for two business units in the United States as well as coordinating global human resource support for units in Asia, Europe and Australia.  Among his accomplishments was the successful implementation of HR programs and performance measures tied to staffing and retention, performance management, role model leadership and career development.   Earlier in his career Armando held the position of Senior Human Resources Operations Manager with EMC in which he had responsibility for providing human resources consultant support and project management to corporate Finance and Legal departments.      Armando received his BA from Wofford College, and his MBA from Plymouth State University.  In 2008 he was recognized by The Boston Business Journal and El Planeta in “Twenty on the Move”, as one of twenty Hispanic executives making an impact in the Boston business community.
