About the Person
Annemieke Van Der Werff is the Co-Chief Human Resources Officer for MUFG Americas Holdings Corporation and its primary subsidiary, MUFG Union Bank, N.A., where she is responsible for the development and implementation of the People Strategy and has oversight for all aspects of Human Resources, including talent management, learning and development, organizational performance and change management, employee engagement, compensation, benefits, talent acquisition, diversity & inclusion, HR systems and & planning, and employee relations. Ms. Van der Werff chairs the Leadership Council for Inclusion and co-chairs the Benefit Plans Administrative Committee. She's also a member of The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi's (BTMU) Global HR Council where she collaborates and advises on global HR initiatives and programs. Prior to joining MUFG Union Bank in 2012, Ms. van der Werff was global head of Human Resources for Global Functions and the Global Retail Bank at HSBC Holdings plc in London. Before joining HSBC, she spent 27 years with the Dutch bank ABN AMRO in various positions, ultimately as Corporate Executive Vice President and Head of Human Resources for the bank's North America Region, based in Chicago. Ms. van der Werff is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and serves on the Executive Committee of the Wharton Financial Services Group at the University of Pennsylvania. She also serves on the board of the Alonzo King LINES Ballet in San Francisco.
