About the Company
It`s a mission the Westlake City School District takes seriously and strives to promote to our more than 4,000 students and approximately 600 staff members. The district consists of three K-4 elementary schools, a PK-4 elementary school, an intermediate school for grades 5 and 6, a 7-8 middle school and our high school. The Westlake Schools, located at the western edge of Cuyahoga County, consistently earn the top ""Excellent"" rating on the state report card, placing us in the top 4% of districts statewide by providing students a foundation in the basic skills, while offering programs and courses that encourage individual academic success. Our program is driven by a Continuous Improvement Plan that guides the district in every aspect of its performance. We also enjoy strong support from our parents and community.
About the Person
Anne M. Pyros` professional experience includes most recently serving as the Director of Human Resources for the Westlake City School District from August 2012 - August 2015. She is a nationally recognized presenter on Response to Intervention (RtI) strategies for students and is a State mentor for entry year Principals. She previously served as Associate Superintendent from August 2011 to July 2012. Prior to becoming the Associate Superintendent she served as the District Learning Resource Supervisor (8/2007 to 7/2011) and as Principal of Chestnut Intermediate School (8/2003 to 7/2007.) Mrs. Pyros also served as a math teacher and Assistant Principal at North Olmsted Middle School.
