About the Person

\r\n Angel Brown is the Director of Recruitment and Talent Acquisition for BayCare Health System, a leading community-based health system serving patients in four counties in the Tampa Bay Region – Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco and Polk. BayCare is one of the largest employers in the area, with 13 not-for-profit hospitals, 300 access points and 23,000 employees. Brown began her career at BayCare’s St. Joseph’s Hospital in 1989 and has been part of the system’s Human Resources leadership team since 2000. Throughout her tenure, Brown has gained a wide range of experience in recruitment, talent management and onboarding that included the opening of two new hospitals. While Brown is responsible for BayCare’ s system-wide talent acquisition strategy, her team recruits exceptional, talented individuals who share a commitment to setting the standard for high-quality compassionate care. Brown has served on multiple Six Sigma, Green Belt and Yellow Belt projects, helping to standardize the employment process across BayCare, decrease turnover and improve nurse retention. Brown graduated from St. Leo University with a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management.\r\n
