About the Person
Ambrosia is the Vice President of Talent at HootSuite. Since 2011 she`s spearheaded the company`s hypergrowth, bringing its employees from 20 to over 500—in under 3 years. She`s passionate about empowering others in her field to effectively align technology with their objectives, their people and their culture. In her time at HootSuite, Ambrosia has built and developed a top talent organization by incorporating emerging technologies—including social media—into traditional HR operations and processes. Prior to HootSuite, Ambrosia spent a decade in the talent and operations fields, building innovative programs for startups and businesses. Committed to fostering innovation in HR, her work on building an employee-centric culture and social HR at HootSuite has contributed to various recognitions, including the company being named “Canada`s Employer of the Year 2013.” Ambrosia currently stands in the sweet spot where tech and talent converges. From this unique vantagepoint, she speaks out globally about the importance of adoption of digital technology for across all levels of the organization. Outside of HootSuite, Ambrosia works with many local non-profit foundations and is the co-founder of children`s music initiative #singitfwd. She is a graduate of Simon Fraser University, has traveled extensively.
