Dr. Albert R. Collinson, Ph.D. has been the Chief Executive Officer and President of Theracos, Inc. since July 2009. Dr. Collinson served as the Chief Business Officer and Vice President of Business Development at Rib-x Pharmaceuticals, Inc. He joined Rib-X to lead the Rib-X business strategy after his tenure at Phylos, Inc. where he served as the Senior Vice President of Business Development. Prior to joining Phylos, Dr. Collinson was the Vice President of Global R&D Licensing at BASF Pharma. Dr. Collinson has played a senior role in business development for more than 13 years at both small and large companies and has structured numerous business relationships including product licenses, research collaborations and product and company acquisitions. He served as Vice President of Business Development at Phylos since October 2000. He has over 10 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, including a number of senior business development positions within biotechnology firms. He served as Vice President of Business Development at Ascent Pediatrics. Earlier in his career, Dr. Collinson served in a number of important business and scientific positions while at Berlex Laboratories, ImmunoGen, and Apoptosis Technology. He serves as a Director of Theracos, Inc. Dr. Collinson received his Ph.D in Biological Chemistry from Brandeis University and completed post-doctoral work at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
