About the Company

The Greeneville City School System has a vision ""to provide a world-class education for all students."" The system is committed to educating all students to be successful in a global society by providing excellence in educators, programs, and environment. The school system`s administrative offices are located in the Kathryn W. Leonard Office on Depot Street. The building was donated to the school system by the family of Mrs. Leonard in her memory and honor. The Greeneville City School System consists of four elementary schools, one middle school and one high school serving approximately 2750 students. The system also serves as the fiscal agent for the Greeneville/Greene County Center for Technology, which provides technology education classes for students in all county high schools.

 

About the Person

Adrian Rucker is the Chief Human Resources Officer at Greeneville City Schools system.   Prior to that, Rucker served as Director of Human Resources for Knox County Schools, where he has been responsible for day-to-day operations of a human resources department that serves 8,000 employees.   Prior to working for Knox County Schools, Rucker spent 15 years as the Personnel Liaison for Hamblen County Schools, where he was responsible for all aspects of human resources and benefits including recruiting, screening applicants, onboarding, state reporting, worker`s compensation, insurance and retirement.   He began his professional career working for General Dynamics, located in Ft. Worth, Texas, and Lockheed-Georgia in Marietta, Ga., where he worked in Engineering Administration.   Rucker earned a football scholarship and received a Bachelor of Science degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta and a master`s degree in organizational management from Tusculum College.   He is a member of the Tennessee Association of School Personnel, Tennessee Association of School Business Officials and the Society for Human Resource Management.   He also serves on the Education Advisory Council for graduate studies for Carson-Newman University.
